| Fife Council’s Money Advice Team provides free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and assistance to clients who are experiencing financial difficulties. Clients benefit in many ways from using a Money Advice Service rather than dealing with their debt problems on their own. Money Advice Officers give support and advice and can assist clients by checking for any entitlement to benefits and helping clients to increase their income, negotiating more manageable repayment terms with the client’s creditors checking liability for client’s debts including examining agreements to make sure they are legal, offering clients advice on insolvency issues such as trust deeds and bankruptcy, arranging for assistance from other appropriate agencies and applying for grants where applicable. | Clients can contact the Service directly or we can accept referrals from another agency.
