| Under the umbrella of Fife Community Safety Partnership, Fife Cares offers access to a wide range of home safety and security services for older people and other vulnerable groups. The Fife Cares Development Officer offers a single point of access for home safety and security visits. Home Safety services include visits from one of the team's Home Safety Advisers who can carry out a visual home safety check in the clients home. Each Home Safety Adviser is also trained to test smoke alarms and where appropriate install 10 year smoke alarms free of charge. Minor repairs to cables, flexes and plugs can be done and microwave ovens can be checked for radiation leakage. Home Security Services include a visit from Fife Constabulary's Home Security Adviser. This service offers access to expert advice and information on how to improve the security of your home. | Home Safety check referrals are accepted for older people aged 70+ and other vulnerable people.
