Spotlight on the Credit Unions PDF Print E-mail

Hi, my name's Roberta Goodall and I work for Kingdom Credit Union as a Money Guidance Officer. I offer a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL service to available to anyone living or working in Central Fife. I'm based in the Credit Union's main office in Methilhill, but you don't have to be a Credit Union member to take advantage of this service.

You may not consider yourself to be experiencing financial difficulties just now, but if you're trying to manage a tight budget or if your circumstances have changed recently it's far too easy to lose track of your budget especially with all the extra expense around Christmas time.

Many people don't realise the financial implications of a lifestyle change before it's too late. Often we're too busy coping with the emotional turmoil when we experience a relationship breakdown, a house move or the arrival of a new baby to think about the money side of things. And sometimes it's easier to ignore money problems when you have other things to worry about.

Sadly, money problems don't just go away, but taking a few simple steps early on to manage your budget can make a huge difference. Spending an hour or so making a basic budget plan is time well spent and it can be really satisfying sticking to your budget once you've got it down on paper.

If you know a group of people who you think would benefit from this service, I am also happy to come along and speak to small groups or run informal workshops on site - again this service is completely free.

So if you think it's time to take control of your finances, phone me on 01592 714888 to make an appointment - there'll be someone here to take your call Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm.
